Design And Style
At first, the Maestro Edge receives a sportier and more aggressive look as compared to its predecessor. A sharp line has been added in the front side design and the mirrors are featured by dual tone shades. The other new feature is an external fuel filler cap which is a new in this scooter. The Activa-i scooter is featured with new design and look that have been adopted from old Activa model. In this, the side panel is equipped with flower and star design graphics to attract the female riders. The Activa-i has a sleek, thin and stylish appearance.
Ride And Handling
The comfortable riding position is must for every riders as the seat design of Maestro Edge is fairly large and very comfortable for the rider and pillion. The new scooter is featured with front telescopic suspension and rear spring loaded hydraulic suspension that provide excellent stability on the every type of road conditions while The Activa-i gives a comfortable and upright riding position which is good for daily commuting.
Power And Performance
The new Hero Maestro Edge gets a newly developed 110.9cc engine that produces 8.31 BHP of power at 8000 RPM while the maximum torque is 8.3 Nm on 6500 RPM, the engine is mated to a CVT. The engine performs well under normal riding conditions. The Hero claims that the new Hero Maestro Edge returns a fuel efficiency of 65 Kmpl. The Honda Activa-i gets smaller engine with the 109.19cc units that produces 8BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 8.74 Nm of torque at torque 5500 RPM. The Hero Maestro Edge is the heaviest scooter as it weighs of 110 Kg, which is 7 Kg heavier. The Honda two wheeler claims that the Activa-i gives the mileage of 66 Kmpl.
Features
The new Maestro Edge scooter boasts several features including the remote seat opening, remote fuel lid opening, mobile charging point, under the seat storage lamp, LED tail light, digital display with analog instrument cluster. The most highlight feature of the Maestro Edge is stylish sculpted exhaust pipe. The Activa-i has Combi Brake System (CBS) that offers excellent braking under the hard braking. Other features are tubeless tyres, large storage space under the seat which is enough for full size helmet.
Price and Colors:
There are two variants of the Maestro Edge, named as LX and VX. The Maestro Edge LX gets a smart price tag of Rs 49,700 (Ex Showroom Delhi) and its brother VX gets INR Rs 51,150. Both the scooters are available in seven color options like as Panther Black, Shooting Night Star, Pearl Silver White, Techno Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Matt Vernier Grey and Matt Blue.
The Honda Activa-i comes in two variants such as Standard and Deluxe. The standard price is INR Rs. 46,744 and Deluxe INR Rs. 47,235. The standard variant has four color options like as Pearl Amazing White, Candy Jazzy Blue, Pearl Trance Yellow and Black. The deluxe is coming in three attractive colours like as Orchid Purple Metallic, Pearl Amazing White and Imperial Red Metallic.
