The Pulsar AS150 that is recently added by the Bajaj Auto in its portfolio, whereas the Suzuki Gixxer is now busy in grabbing the crowd. The recently launched Pulsar AS150 is now here to give a tough competition to the Suzuki Gixxer. Both the motorcycles have same engine architecture that making it difficult to choose the motorcycle from them. Let's take a round on the features or specification of the both motorcycles.

Design - Bajaj Pulsar AS150 vs Suzuki Gixxer

The Pulsar AS150 is a new arrival from the company that is now available in the market. In terms of design, the Pulsar AS150 looks very similar as the Pulsar AS200. The Pulsar AS150 is built on the new stiff chassis, whereas it has received a projector headlamp along with pilot lamps. The motorcycle looks very stunning with its front body cowl that is integrated with a windshield. The motorcycle has received new seats and clips on the handlebars, whereas the rear section remaining the same as the Pulsar 200NS.

Suzuki Gixxer, it is the best invention that has changed the taste of the ride. The Gixxer looks very beautiful, that has never seen before in its class. The GSXR inspired design and naked appearance are the only reason to have a look at this motorcycle. The Pulsar AS150 and Gixxer have almost same engine unit, but offers different power outputs. Practically, the Pulsar AS150 has received a 149.5cc, four-stroke and single cylinder engine that executes a 17 BHP of power at 9500 RPM and a pick torque of 13 NM has been noted at 7000 RPM. The Pulsar AS150 is blessed with Bajaj’s reliable patent technology named Digital twin Spark Ignition (DTS-i) factor. The engine is mated to a five speed transmission with a wet-multi plate clutch.

The Suzuki Gixxer has received a Carburetor engine that delivers a nature friendly power outputs. The four-stroke, single cylinder and air-cooled engine unit ooze a 14.6 BHP of maximum power at 8000 RPM and 14 NM of torque at 6000 RPM. The motorcycle is featured with a Digital-CDI ignition system, which making the ignition system more suitable for high engine speeds. All the power output is kept under controlled by a five speed transmission with a wet-multi plate clutch.

The Pulsar AS150 is built on the completely new chassis, as pressed steel perimeter beam section frame that provides ultimate stability and rigidity. The motorcycle rides on front telescopic suspension and rear monoshock set-up that provides excellent balance on the rugged surface. The Pulsar AS150 has a 240mm front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake, both the front and rear brake provide an excellent stopping power. It gets projector headlight which provides sharp vision the dark place as well suitable for every weather conditions.

The Suzuki Gixxer has a 2050mm of length and 785mm of width, while it measures 1030mm of height. Thus, the ground clearance of this bike is 160mm that is lower than Pulsar AS150. The motorcycle carries weighs just only 135KG that 8KG light than Pulsar AS150.

The Pulsar AS150 is currently coming with three attractive colors such as a Red, Black and Blue. The bike has a smart price tag of INR 81,230 that is Rs. 6000 higher than Suzuki Gixxer, whereas the Gixxer is available in the market at just Rs 75,040 and available in two colors such as a Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Tariton Blue.

Recently, Suzuki company has launched the Gixxer SF FI (Fuel Injected Version). The fuel injected system increases the engine fuel efficiency with the multi-point cylinder to cylinder. The exclusive price with rear disc is INR Rs 99,262 (Ex-showroom Mumbai).
