Review of DSK Benelli TNT 300 in India

The International motorcycle manufacturers are showing their interest in Indian two-wheeler market, and the engines from 200CC to 700CC are becoming popular day by day. In which, the Benelli TNT 300, KTM Duke 200, KTM RC 390, Hyosung GD250N and Kawasaki Ninja are becoming more popular motorcycles in this category.

The Benelli has recently launched its five iconic motorcycles in India with the joint venture of the DSK. The Benelli TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 899 and TNT 1130 are the new arrivals in the Indian market. Apart from this, the Italian manufacturer has made an announcement that it will be going to launch a new product to the Indian line-up by the end of the current year. The Italian manufacturer is readying itself with its smallest engine sports motorcycle, DSK-Benelli TNT 25. All the models are designed in Italy, built in China and assembled in India.

The Benelli TNT 300 is a naked street motorcycle which looks very impressive and promising to the meaningful ride. The minimal work behind the body gives a muscular look to the motorcycle. The compact body design carries a red trellis frame, angular headlight, huge fuel tank and underbelly exhaust. The angular headlight is integrated with a small black cowl, which is more taste in its look. The 12-spoke wheels on the both ends look very impressive. The boomerang shaped fairing is located just to the next of the fuel tank. It gets an engine cowl which gives a sporty touch respectively. The motorcycle is featured with a compact handlebar and single unit seat that offer a comfortable sitting position to the both rider and pillion. Moreover, the motorcycle has received an instrument panel, which carries an analogue tachometer, digital speedometer, fuel gauge, trip meter and odometer.

As talk about the technical specification, the Benelli TNT 300 is powered by a liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, four stroke and 300cc engine displacement. The refined motor is blessed with a fuel injection technology, which makes the engine more worthy for an outstanding power output as it makes 37.8 BHP of power at 11,500 RPM, while the 26.5 KGM of torque has arrived at 10,000 RPM. All the power is managed by a six-speed gearbox. The electronic injection with a twin 38mm throttle body gives excellent throttle response at rev range. Moreover, it quickly arrives at 0-60 KMPH at just 3.41 seconds, which is more enough in this category, while the top speed has been noticed at 154 KMPH.

For a safe and comfortable ride, the manufacturer has used standard object to make the motorcycle more powerful. Thus, the braking power is performed by a 260mm twin wave disc at the front and a 240mm single disc at the rear. Thus, the motorcycle is featured with an inverted 41mm hydraulic damping shock absorber at the front and rear swing-arm gets an adjustable rear shock absorber offering spring preload and rebound adjustment. The motorcycle has received 17-inch aluminum alloy rims that feature a 120/70 sized tubeless tyre in the front and a 160/60 sized tubeless tyre at the rear.

DSK Benelli unveiled TNT 300 in India by March 2015. It will be available in four colors like as Verde (Green), Nero (Black), Rosso (Red) and Bianco (White), these colors come with attractive looks and precisely design. In India, it comes with smart price tag of INR 3,07,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
