Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 Review

The first thunderbird 350 was made its appearance in the market in 2005, then the company has launched its new variant in 2013, named Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500. The new Thunderedbird 500 is powered by a 499cc engine. The engine boosts the overall performance of the motorcycle such as the single cylinder, four-stroke, twinspark and air-cooled unit deliver 27.2 BHP of power at 5,250 RPM and 41.3 NM of torque at 4,000 RPM. The electronic fuel injection system improves the performance and fuel economy. All the power output is kept under control by a five-speed constant mesh gearbox via a wet multi-plate clutch.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is a cruiser motorcycle. The motorcycle looks very impressive with its chrome round headlight, tear-dropped fuel tank large handlebar and chrome finishing instrument control. Thunderbird 500 is featured with an impressive seat that gives a very comfortable sitting position to the rider and pillion.

The motorcycle rests on strong single downtube chassis, which makes it more stable over the terrain. The machine is featured with a front 41mm telescopic travel suspension and rear twin gas charged shock absorbers with five-step adjustable preload suspension. The motorcycle has 2060mm length, 790mm width and 1205mm height, while it has 140mm ground clearance. The 195KG kerb weight makes it easy to handle the motorcycle in the city traffic.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is blessed with a projector headlamp and LED lamp that looks very impressive and does a good job at the night. The stopping power is reduced or control by 280mm front disc and 240mm rear disc brake. The Thunderbird 500 offers ultimate ride quality each and every time. And, the motorcycle is available in three stunning color options as black, twilight black and flicker black. The machine is sold at INR 1,73,513.
